Colonic Hamartoma

Pedunculated polyp, quite lobulated, on a very thin stalk, which histologically proved to be a hamartoma. View on left shows snare wire placed around stalk, prior to tightening of the wire and application of cautery. View on right shows fine lobulation of the head of the polyp; the stalk goes up and to the right.



Solitary diminutive polyp in a 38 year-old women. Histology revealed a benign intestinal smooth muscle hamartoma, confirmed with immuno stains.
