Appendiceal Polyp
63 year-old woman undergoing routine colon screening. A polyp was found at the mouth of the appendix, extending downward into the appendix, precluding colonoscopic polypectomy. Histologically the lesion was a benign serrated adenoma, and was successfully excised laparoscopically.
