Ileocolic Anastomotic Ulcer
62 year-old women, who had undergone subtotal colectomy 18 months previously for bleeding, who presented with recurrent gross bleeding and anemia. Colonoscopy demonstrated a bleeding ulcer at the ileocolic anastomosis. The pale ulcer border, with overlying blood, can be seen in the photo. Bleeding responded to cauterization using a heater probe.
