Long Inverted Diverticulum




Left: Long, polyp-like diverticulum in a 68 year-old woman. Biopsy of the tip of the lesion proved it to be an inverted diverticulum rather than a polyp.

Center: Exceptionally long, appendix-like inverted diverticulum seen in an 85 year old man.

Right: Smooth, soft polypoid lesion in a 63 year-old woman with few diverticula. Biopsy confirmed the suspicion of inverted diverticulum; the pathology report read "mucosal inversion polyp."
