Duodenal Diverticulum

91 year-old woman with dyspepsia, anemia and occult gastrointestinal bleeding. Upper endoscopy demonstrated duodenitis, deformity of the bulb suggesting prior ulcer disease, and small diverticula. Note the light reflecting off the base of the diverticulum.

67 year-old man undergoing ERCP. Large septated diverticulum noted in the descending duodenum, below the level of the ampulla. The caliber of the diverticulum (top) is nearly that of the duodenal lumen (lower).
