Duodenal Vascular Ectasia

56 year-old man with a long history of ulcer disease, previous bleeding from an active ulcer, and persistent occult bleeding despite intensive ulcer therapy. Endoscopy revealed vascular ectasias of the duodenum; there were none in the esophagus or stomach.


77 year-old woman with a occult gastrointestinal bleeding and anemia. Endoscopy demonstrated two prominent nonbleeding vascular ectasias of the duodenal bulb.
