Stent-induced Duodenal Ulcer
80 year-old man with pancreatic carcinoma and biliary obstruction, had undergone percutaneous transhepatic biliary stent placement. He subsequently developed gastrointestinal bleeding. Endoscopy revealed an ulcer of the duodenal wall across the lumen from the stent, at the point where the stent contacted the mucosa.
