Duodenal Bulb Deformity

Left: Deformity of the duodenal bulb, with scarring and pseudodiverticulum formation, as a result of prior active ulcer disease in a 77 year-old woman.

Center: Marked deformity with a large pseudodiverticulum at the top (the duodenal lumen is toward the bottom) in a 48 year-old man with a small bulbar ulcer.

Right: Duodenal bulb deformity in a 40 year-old man with chronic ulcer disease, who had failed Helicobacter pylori treatment. In addition to duodenitis and deformity, there was an active ulcer crater not shown in this image.
