Gastric Pouch Outlet Obstruction by Food
A post gastric bypass patient presented with several weeks of postprandial vomiting. She was rarely able to tolerate even liquids. Endoscopy revealed gastric outlet obstruction by a food bolus impacted in the gastric pouch outlet (LEFT). Removal of the food revealed the underlying stenotic gastric pouch outlet (RIGHT). Transendoscopic balloon dilation of the gastric pouch outlet was performed and symptoms did not return.
