Prepyloric Ulcer




56 year-old man with hematemesis (vomiting blood) and melena (black, tarry stools). Endoscopy revealed this 1 cm prepyloric ulcer, which was no longer bleeding.




Left: 87 year-old woman taking nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents, who presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. At endoscopy a curved prepyloric ulcer was found. Helicobacter pylori antibody was positive.
