Neurofibroma



Smooth polypoid lesion resembling an inverted diverticulum found in a 58 year-old woman undergoing screening colonoscopy. Histologically the lesion proved to be a neurofibroma.





Bland diminutive polyp found in the sigmoid colon in a 57 year old woman undergoing colonoscopy for a change in bowel habit with diarrhea. Histology revealed focal spindle cell proliferation in the lamina propria; immunohistocheical stains were consistent with neurofibroma.
