Colonic Dieulafoy Lesion

Steady flow of blood in the distal sigmoid colon of a 75 year old woman. Lavage revealed no underlying mucosal lesion. Photograph was taken after filling the lumen with water, to better demonstrate the point of origin of the flow of blood. Bleeding was controlled by the application of a rubber band to the point of bleeding. There was no recurrence of bleeding.
